Pontoon Boat Removal and Disposal Services
Full Pontoon Removal
We remove complete pontoon rigs — deck, frame, tubes, and motor — in a single trip in most cases. Boats on trailers, boats on lifts, and boats beached on a shoreline are all situations we've handled. If the trailer is still serviceable and you want to keep it, we can take the boat off it and leave the trailer. If you want both gone, we take both.
Pontoon Boat Disposal
Disposing of a pontoon boat that nobody wants to buy is a legitimate challenge. Pontoon tubes are aluminum — they have real scrap value, which often offsets disposal costs. Decking material and structural aluminum are processed separately. We work with licensed facilities and provide a full disposal receipt when the job is done.
Removing a Pontoon Boat From a Trailer on Land
One of the more common calls we get is someone who needs to remove a pontoon boat from a trailer on land — often because the trailer is needed for another boat, or because the boat itself needs to come down for inspection or repair before the trailer can be used. We handle this as a standalone service, repositioning or fully removing the vessel as needed.
Old and Damaged Pontoon Boats
Pontoons that have sat through multiple winters, suffered storm damage, or simply worn out structurally are a large share of our removal work. Delaminated decking, bent tubes, blown motors — none of this prevents pickup. If it's a pontoon and it's on your property, we'll give you a quote to take it.
How Pontoon Boat Removal Works
What goes into the quote
Length of the toon, whether it's on a trailer or a lift, current condition, and your location. If the boat is on a lift in the water, the lift type matters — we coordinate with the marina accordingly. This call takes five minutes.
Scheduling
Pontoon removal quotes usually come back quickly. Most markets have availability within a week; often faster for straightforward dockside or driveway pickups.
Day of pickup
We arrive with a trailer sized for the beam. If the boat is on a lift, we operate the lowering, load it, and go. If it's already on a trailer on land, we either transfer it to our equipment or tow yours if it's road-legal. The site is cleared in a few hours.
After pickup
Salvage or disposal jobs include transport documentation and title transfer. Delivery to a buyer, storage facility, or boatyard follows the same logistics — just a different destination.
Pontoon Boat Removal Pricing — What Factors Matter
Pontoon removal costs more or less depending on a handful of variables:
Tube condition
Intact aluminum tubes in reasonable shape have scrap value that reduces overall cost. Severely damaged or corroded tubes process at a lower value.
Motor presence
A working or restorable outboard has independent value. Even a non-running motor has parts value. We account for this in the quote.
Access
Is the boat at a dock with good vehicle access? On a lift that needs to be operated? On a shoreline that requires offloading? Access difficulty is the biggest variable in labor cost.
Location
Local jobs cost less than long-haul transport. We're straightforward about distance-based pricing.
There are no hidden charges added after the job. What we quote is what you pay.
The Toon Has Been Taking Up Space Long Enough
Boat length, current location, on a trailer or a lift. That's what we need to build the quote. Call or submit the form — most markets have same-week availability.

Frequently Asked Questions — Pontoon Boat Removal
Can you remove a pontoon boat that doesn't float?
Yes. If the tubes are compromised and the boat won't float, we work from the dock or shore. It's a more involved haul, but not uncommon. Describe the situation when you call and we'll quote accordingly.
Do pontoon boats have scrap value?
Often yes. Pontoon frames, tubes, and deck support structures are aluminum. At current scrap rates, a full-size pontoon boat yields enough aluminum to meaningfully offset removal costs. Motors and usable components add to that.
How wide is a pontoon boat for transport purposes?
Most pontoon boats are 8–9 feet wide, which puts them at or above standard width limits for most states. Oversize permits are commonly required for pontoon transport. We handle all permitting as part of the job — it's not something you need to arrange.
Can I remove a pontoon boat from a trailer on land myself?
For smaller pontoons, a group of people and a basic dolly or roller system can shift the boat on flat ground. For anything over about 20 feet, or if the boat has to move over uneven terrain, the right lifting and rolling equipment is the safer and faster answer. We handle this as a standalone service if all you need is the boat off the trailer.
How long does pontoon boat removal take on the day of pickup?
Most residential pontoon removals take 2–4 hours from arrival to cleared site. Commercial dock jobs or boats in difficult-access locations may take longer. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when we schedule.
