What has changed since the boat last moved?
Report known tire, axle, frame or coupling concerns and whether the hull has settled on its supports. Identify standing water, visible damage and unknown history. Do not test-tow the trailer, start the engine or move supports to check its condition.
State whether the engine, trailer and loose equipment should be included. For junk boat removal, ask whether intact transport, preparation or dismantling can be assessed; poor condition does not prescribe cutting or automatic acceptance.
Describe the route and property restrictions
Show the route to the street, gates, turns, ground and visible overhead restrictions from a safe position. Supply known dimensions without approaching utility wires or climbing the boat. Explain any shared-drive arrangements or vehicle restrictions that apply to the actual property.
If a storage operator or community controls entry or working hours, identify the contact and ask which permissions the proposed activity needs. Do not assume permission to enter the parcel authorizes release of the vessel itself.
If collection is needed at a lake or marina
Give the actual facility, berth and operator contact rather than the owner's South Jordan mailing address. Describe whether the boat floats, is grounded or partly submerged. For a sailboat, add mast status, rigging and keel details. Water recovery, mast work, loading and road transport should be identified as separate assessment tasks, not assumed included.
Receiving questions before the boat leaves
For boat disposal, ask which destination accepts the actual hull or separated materials and who assesses preparation. Identify fuel, oil, batteries and suspected hazardous contents without opening, draining, discharging or mixing them. No company yard or universal processing route is assumed.
